Navi Mumbai Food Festival

An interesting food festival was held at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai from 11th to 14th February between 10 am to 10 pm. Various stalls were put up which respresented cuisines from all over the world. From eye pleasing apetizers to delicious desserts, this food festival had it all! Large audiences which included food critics, large families, students, etc had all come to tickle their taste buds. Besides the food stalls, various other events and activities were lined up such as a live performance by Pratik Ahire, different workshops by well known chefs like Chef Amit Vohra, Chef Varun Inamdar, etc. Thes workshops were attended by large groups of people, from housewives to aspiring food chefs.

Here's a list of some notable stalls that stood out from the rest because of its mouth watering dishes and uniqueness of its set up.

1. Khanabadosh Food Truck

Serving that one Indian cuisine which has long been ignored : Bihari chokha vati, Litti chokha, Pitti ki kachori.

2. Raje’s Royal Treat

Finger licking good. Each item off their list is finger-licking-good.

Do try their tawa prawn fry & surmai fry.

3. 7 seeds

This outlet has variety of organically produced honey. Based on differential bee cultivation, they have honey of myriad of flavours.

Already purchased a dozen of rose infusion honey .

4. Happinesss Icecreams

Innovative, live icecream stall , serving fresh fruit icecream.

Do try their masala Peru flavour.

5. The Purple Truck

Do try their amazing burgers & poutine

(we loved the purple chicken burger).

6. Sigdi from Clare Road

The original Sigdi living upto it’s standard till date.

Vegetarians should try paneer tikka & non vegetarians -this is one of the best chicken tikka you have had so far.

7. Sweet Occasions

One stop dessert solution is Sweet Occasions . Try their cheese brownie. It’s gooey & chocolaty & so yummy !

8. Nutty

If you are a peanut butter lover; Nutty is the place for you.

This is a part of make in India initiative & hence their manufacturing & marketing is India-based.

Must try & buy : Pineapple flavoured peanut butter.

9. JJ Jalebi

This place doesn’t need an introduction. Glad that we can savour their rabri , jalebi & shahi tukda right in our home city.

10. Shahi Durbar

Specializes in kulfi. Serves 20 flavours of kulfi , kulfi sundae , kulfi shakes !

Try the Peru/ guava kulfi.

Also, do not miss out on yummilicious Fudge from Oh!fudge, Paneer Keema fries from That Food Co. , Chocolates from Hutaib chocolates & pork ribs from West coast grill , Sol kadhi from Malvani caterers, pani puri from Jhulelal chat wala & the list goes on.
